Rogue River raftingThe  Rogue River was one of the eight original Wild and Scenic Rivers when Congress passed the Wild and Scenic Rivers act in 1968. It was chosen for it's rich history, abundant wildlife, and opportunities for recreation along it's course.

The most popular section for Rogue River rafting is the 35 miles between Grave Creek and Foster Bar. Most people take 4 days to float this section, although trips range from 3-7 days. The rapids are mostly Class II and III with big pools in between. The one Class IV rapid Blossom Bar is famous for causing problems for boaters. Each summer unskilled boaters get hung up on the rocks in the rapid.

Every other year we offer a special trip on the Rogue River with bluegrass musicians Laurie Lewis and Tom Rozum. We call it "Bluegrass on Whitewater" and it's one of our favorite trips of the year. This year's Rogue River trip will mark our 20th trip with Laurie and Tom.

We'll float down the river by day and listen to their music by night. For more information and to reserve your space, check out http://www.echotrips.com/rogue/bluegrass/ or call us at (800) 652-3246.
